About a month ago I got an email from my coworker Kerry, saying I had been nominated for the office-wide "fun committee," with the mission of bringing fun back to the NYC office (this was partially confusing because my team is pretty fun). In any case, I met with a dozen or so other people that Kerry had appointed as "fun" and we brainstormed how we could make everyone happy.
We decided that things became less fun when they were forced, and always more fun when spontaneous. I suggested a "fun wagon" or a little red wagon that traveled the office for fun. Yesterday my dream came true and at 3:30 I took the fun wagon (filled with champagne, beer and mini cupcakes) out for it's maiden roll. Kerry and I pulled through several sales teams bumping some tunes and wishing people a Happy Thursday. The response was great-- most people were very confused "who's birthday is it?" "wait, why are you here?" our response, "FOR FUN!"
annnnnd the stock price continues to stagnate...
