I'm Bacccccck

Sorry. I'm back to fill you in on a couple of things, and then hopefully pick up blogging more regularly.

1. It's spring in NYC. This makes me VERY happy. There are birds chirping, I got the bike tuned up, there's a skip in my step and I went outside with bare legs yesterday. GREAT NEWS. If you don't live here, come visit now, it will make you want to move.

2. I went on an incredible vacation to Three Jewels Retreats in Puerto Vallarta for some yoga, surfing and R&R with Lauren. I simply cannot speak highly enough about it-- I got hooked on surfing, back into Yoga, a nice tan and some amazing authentic mexican food. Going back next year for sure. Here's what Yoga looked like every morning:
3. I'm officially on the market for a new job. Please forward any potential prospects my way. I'm taking the month off from Goog to look both at new jobs at Goog and outside. Holler if you have some ideas for me (or if you want to play hooky and hang out during the day and pretend to be funemployed like me!) In the spirit of job searching and self-promotion, I have seen this poster several times in the subway:
Maybe I should just print my resume on poster-sized hot pink paper and start papering the subways? Or print it on a sandwich board and hire some homeless man to wear it on the corner of 23rd and 8th?

Sneak Attack Shots

Exhibit #1: Gu Energy Gel, a popular gel used for athletes participating in endurance sports.

Exhibit #2: Spotted in bodega, a pocket shot of energy....errr alchol. This is a rather sick marketing trick. Imagine reaching into your pocket half way through a marathon and taking a shot of warm tequila!
Does anyone else find this disturbing?

New Ad Campaign: Nattyisms

Those of you that watch TV may have noticed that Natural Night has launched a pretty rad campaign about me: Nattyisms! Not only was my college nickname Natty Light, but for my 20th birthday, Kit even ordered up a whole bunch of Nataphernalia that said "Nattyism #1" and so on...Natrocious that they stole her idea.

The campaign website features a pretty sick glossary of Nattyisms, some favorites being: Naturday, Natio Furniture, Nata Girl and Natapolt. Perhaps the most fitting are Natoleptic (finally, a name for my sleeping condition!) and Nattitude Adjustment. It also includes several expressions which were Natsolutely stolen from my friend group including Natman (coined on the high school lax field by Meghan (Sullivan) Girard), Natalicious (coined by Kit in our freshman dorm) and Nattastic (coined by LBG and posted in this very blog).

The campaign includes a site, some sweet gear, and of course some pretty amusing TV spots which are also available for your viewing pleasure on YouTube:

Important Nattyism left out? The Internat. Haha, missed it. At least that makes me Nattisfied.

SF is the new Candy Land?

This is probably the coolest live stunt for a brand I have seen. Apparently, to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Candy Land they made Lombard St into a life-sized game. Some people were calling it "messed up to allow Hasbro to take over public space" I think whoever said that hates fun. I found some photos on the web here. Hopefully they'll be turning the NYC highline into Shoots and Latters or something, so I can get in on the fun.

Favorite Places- SPOTTED!

So last week I posted a shameless self promotion for the campaign we launched last month-- Google Maps Favorite Places. Yesterday while on the walk to my first Physique 57 (NYC's version of the SF Bar Method in half the space and for twice the price), I spotted one of the banners on a SoHo street. Obvi I made Kron do a photoshoot with me and the banner, which probably caused 4 times as many people as normal to look at it. Now that's effective marketing...
